Under your protection! Today, October 7, feast of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary, Pope Francis appointed Sister Simona Brambilla of the Consolata Missionary Sisters as Secretary of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life. Sister Simona is currently a Member of the same Dicastery. This is an unprecedented event in our history as an institution at the service of the Apostolic See and opens the way to a new vision of service to consecrated life in the appreciation of the charisms of female institutes, particularly those with a missionary vocation. We are certain that Sister Simona, thanks to her experience of leadership as Superior General and as a missionary, will share her sensitivity and skills with the collaborators of the Dicastery who, already today, welcome her in a spirit of availability and cordiality. May the intercession of the Our Lady of the Rosary accompany her path of service - particularly in this intense synodal season - whose fruits will manifest their efficacy thanks to the Light of the Spirit.
