During the afternoon of 17 October, the Prefect of our Dicastery, Card. João Braz de Aviz, together with the Archbishop Secretary, the Undersecretaries and the Department heads, received the bishops of Benin for the “ad limina Apostolorum” visit. Archbishop Pascal N’Koue, on behalf of the Benin Episcopal Conference, gave a general account of consecrated life in Benin, and also thanked the Dicastery for its concern for all forms of consecrated life.

Ad Limina Visit of the Bishops of Cameroon
The bishops of the Republic of Cameroon were received in the Dicastery on the morning of 11 September for their Ad Limina Visit. After the opening prayer, the Cardinal Prefect welcomed them and opened a discussion on synodality and the need to walk together. The discussion then continued with a presentation of the reality of the local Church by the bishops present.
Ad limina visit Bishops of Zimbabwe
On the morning of 6 September 2023, we received the Bishops of Zimbabwe on their Ad Limina Visit. The prelates were welcomed by Sister Carmen Ross, Undersecretary, who encouraged synodality between consecrated life and the local Churches. Fr. Pier Luigi Nava, Undersecretary, then presented updates on the activities of the Dicastery. The rest of the time was devoted to discussions with the bishops.
