On 29 February, the Holy Father Francis appointed Father Aitor Jiménez Echave, C.M.F., Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life. Born on 29 December 1962, in Luchana-Baracaldo (Spain). On 13 September 1987, he made Perpetual Profession in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and on 30 April 1989, he received Presbyteral Ordination. He holds a Doctorate in Utroque Iure and a Doctorate in the Theology of Consecrated Life from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome, Italy. He holds several Diplomas, including one in Oriental Canon Law. He has been an Official of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life since 2006.
