In March, our Dicastery welcomed the annual visit of representatives from two conferences of religious men and women in the United States: the Conference of Major Superiors of Men's Institutes (CMSM) and the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR).
The CMSM delegation was received on March 25, while the LCWR visited the Dicastery on March 27. Both groups were accompanied by their respective presidents and were welcomed by the Prefect, Sister Simona Brambilla, M.C.; the Pro-Prefect, Ángel F. Card. Artime, S.D.B.; the Undersecretaries; and other Officials of the Dicastery.
During the meetings, reflections were shared on future projects aimed at supporting consecrated life in the United States. Additionally, several issues faced by consecrated persons in their mission were discussed, with challenges and hopes exchanged in a spirit of fraternity and dialogue.
These visits reaffirm the synergistic commitment of the Dicastery and the Conferences of Major Superiors to collaborate in promoting consecrated life and to discern paths that foster its renewal and fidelity to the Gospel in today’s context.
