The Confederation of Conferences of Major Superiors of Africa and Madagascar, known by the abbreviation COSMAM/COMSAM (in French and English), an organization that brings together all the Conferences of Major Superiors present on the African continent, has launched its first continental news bulletin. This initiative of the COSMAM Communication Commission aims to strengthen visibility, communication, and collaboration among the more than 108,000 consecrated women and men of the African continent and the islands of the Indian Ocean.
Published in English, French, and Portuguese, the monthly bulletin will be available on the first day of each month and will serve as a platform for sharing good missionary practices, formation and pastoral initiatives, as well as offering a space for reflection and communion.
“Our bulletin aims to be a space for sharing information, reflections, and initiatives,” said Sister Rita Yamba, president of COSMAM and member of the Daughters of St. Paul. “We are aware of the challenges we face as consecrated persons: conflicts, poverty, inequalities. This first issue seeks to offer a tool to address these topics and promote constructive dialogue.”
Father Vaclav Klement, member of the communication team, emphasized: “We want to make known the many significant experiences of mission, formation, and communication that often remain hidden. Contributing to the visibility of consecrated life is part of our commitment in the Church.”
The bulletin is already available on COSMAM’s official channels: on Facebook (COSMAM page) and on the YouTube channel (COSMAM YouTube).
