From July 5 to 9, Sr. Simona Brambilla MC, Prefect of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, and Fr. Aitor Jiménez Echave, CMF, Undersecretary, were in Brasília to participate in the General Elective Assembly of the Conference of Religious of Brazil (CRB).
During those intense days, they were able to meet many consecrated men and women, both during the Assembly itself, during the meeting of Superior Generals belonging to the UISG (International Union of Superiors General), which took place on July 7, and during a meeting with representatives of consecrated persons involved in social activities, as well as an evening gathering open to all consecrated men and women.
They also visited a monastery of Carmelite nuns and one of Benedictine monks, both located in Brasília. They had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the CRB, the headquarters of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB), and the Apostolic Nunciature. A heartfelt thanks to God and to every person they met: dialogue and the exchange of gifts make the service of our Dicastery even more life giving and meaningful.
