"Well done, good and faithful servant; [...] enter into the joy of your master." (Mt 25:23)
With these words from the Gospel of Matthew, we bid farewell to Pope Francis, who on the morning of April 21, 2025, fully entered into the light of God. The news was announced by the Holy See Press Office.
Throughout the years of his Pontificate, Pope Francis followed consecrated life with love and fatherly care, inviting consecrated men and women to rekindle the joy of their first encounter with the Lord, so as to be a light of hope for the world, to safeguard the life and dignity of every person, especially the poor, migrants, victims of human trafficking, the marginalized, the excluded, and the vulnerable.
We welcome, with renewed commitment, his call to be "artisans of peace," contributing to the building of universal fraternity, recalling the message he shared through the @Pontifex account last February 23: "I urge you to continue your apostolate with joy and [...] to be a sign of a love that embraces everyone, that turns evil into good, and generates a fraternal world. Do not be afraid to take the risk of loving!"
Our THANK YOU — heartfelt and profound — to Pope Francis and to the Lord who gave him to us.
