On Tuesday, March 4, the diploma ceremony for the eStudium course took place in Rome, celebrating the students who successfully completed the 2022-2024 biennium. The course, organized by our Dicastery, provides specialized training in ecclesial Magisterium, canonical norms, and practices related to consecrated life.
Seventy-five students from various nationalities successfully completed the program. Some attended the ceremony in person, while others participated remotely.
Sr. Simona Brambilla, M.C., Prefect of the Dicastery, addressed the new graduates with these words: “May the knowledge and experience you have gained serve as a means for authentic conversion – that is, for transformation and transfiguration – so that we may continue walking ever more in hope.”
The diploma ceremony was also attended by Sr. Carmen Ros Nortes, N.S.C., and Fr. Aitor Jiménez Echave, C.M.F., Undersecretaries of the Dicastery and Directors of the course, as well as Daniela Leggio, head of the Office responsible for the formation of consecrated life.
The celebration concluded with a prayer for the health of Pope Francis.
The eStudium course is the successor to the historic Scuola Pratica, founded in 1951, and is conducted entirely online with simultaneous translation into Italian, English, and Spanish. Its objective is to train those responsible for governance and formation within institutes of consecrated life and societies of apostolic life, as well as priests and laypeople interested in deepening their understanding of the ecclesial Magisterium and canonical norms.
